Hey Jack! Reddit rugged their Moons token used by the /r/Cryptocurrency subreddit. Moons were essentially community points on Ethereum. They gained traction this past year and even got listed on Kraken. Lots of people started to buy them, trade them, horde them, etc. Reddit announced recently that they were sunsetting the program and all of the whales dumped their bags. Lots of people feel betrayed. So, I figured that since these users appreciated creating content and getting paid for it, why not tell them about Nostr, highlight Zaps, and how we're building a value for value decentralized economy here. I made a post on Reddit in their cryptocurrency subreddit. It's currently at 50K views and 400 comments. It's doing really well. I've been answering questions all afternoon and on-boarding people to Nostr. πŸ€™πŸ»πŸ’œπŸ«‚ Pura vida.

Welcome! If you go to Derek’s or Jack’s or mine or anyone’s page you can click on Relays to see the ones they use and start out with the same ones. Some are free and some are paid. We like supporting relay runners as it costs them to host relays. Over time you will learn more and might choose other relays as well. Recommended is between about 6-12 or so, tho some people have more.
Welcome! Yes, guilty πŸ˜‚ There are so many relays. https://nostr.watch is a great resource for relays, but it may be a bit overwhelming. I like to pick a mix of free and paid relays. Your can check my profile and see which relays I'm using.
