since github has basically shadowbanned me, my regular account is invisible even inside private repos like the one i was working on, i had to make a backup, which is only going to be used for that. with the help of claude i automated pushing all of my backup (which it made a few days ago) repos to that host, and voila. i also realised that i have a lot of storage space on the main VPS i run my relay on (same as the git host), and upgraded it another 10gb before i realised i had already sorted out this. https://next.orly.dev/ will continue to point where it is pointed, since it's where there is other devs already interested in working with it, but long-term eventually it will be moved to a nostr-based git hosting system, which will enable users to replicate it for high availability and collaborate across instances of the hosted files. but for now, it's my gitea, and i'll cry if i want to. and post instructions for how to build hypothetical air weapon charging devices without disrupting my whole job. or probably not.

I'm a big fan of self-hosted gitea. until such time as nostr replaces it (may already be there)
