Am I the only one that thinks the Apple vision thing makes literally no sense?

Isn't always like this for new Apple products? First, we laugh. Then they take all of our monies.
Oh wow, VR goggles?? π€
Nope
Yeah but just looks odd to me. Sort of the precursor to⦠

I think Iβll stack instead this time around. π
and they make you pay 3grand for it
Money better spent investing in Bitcoin.
If the screens get raving reviews, I might try. Else: stacking.
3 grand to look like an idiot. π€π€
Itβs giving Playtest..

For $3,500 it makes zero sense to me
It better give a lot more than that for 3,500! π
Itβs apple attempting to combine all of their devices and acquisitions while creating a new hardware platform for meta verses
Omg
π€£
Thats a pretty good deal; people usually spend $200k on sport cars
ππ
i spent 900$ on mine LOL
Yep
π cars are a lot more fun. #[2]β is with me.
true that
π

with Apple Vision you can *see* yourself in ANY car

$3,499
Yeah, Apple use the psychological pricing ploy to make your brain think it's cheaper than it is. I don't play that game.

π€£π€£ nailed it.
i agree, i should have added sarcasm.
as in
" duh, you got it all wrong, is not $3,500 is ONLY $3,499 "
is sort ok at $1.95 toothpaste, but $3,499 just feels stupid.
price is insane high at $3,500
but oops, nah, totally ok doable at $3,499
and i have strong bias as very long time Apple fan boy sheeple
i have been asking for few years, with all the pre launch AR VR rumor, are there any good or new use case. not finding much beyond VR game
now that watch intro video & read several hands on review from those trust.
it seems for WHAT IT IS, very well done, maybe the best
but is for, very vague & $3500, insane
now if devs make ton great new ideas by 2024 at launch
& by 2025 is less weight and $1500
& 2026 are awesome VR games, sports live 3D stream
& smaller, less weighr & $800
then might have success path
if that was not sarcasm, then
here it is
~10 minute product ad
Yeah βΒ I agree mostly there. If there was ever a company that could actually pull this off it's Apple. That said, it feels like there are plenty of interactions that are sort of half way thought through. e.g. video calling... what do the other participants see of you? just your eyes?
Anyway, I won't be an early adopter here but will definitely be keeping an eye on how it develops.
No, have you watched the video on this? I sincerely recommend you do, itβs amazing.
They see your face without the headset ect, take a look at the video on it its incredible!
I watched some of the video but didn't see that part... I'll look again.
Ok β yeah. I didn't get to the part at the end explaining the tech. π
Looks pretty cool for sure.
