I suspect I don't see this much because I use the notification drawer as my feed. Not really a good sign
I can't even browse for things that interest me anymore. Sure I keep up on my subscriptions, but the home tab has been getting worse.
It could be that my kids clicked an Ai slop video that we’re seeing more now. But in any case it’s not looking good.

I was just talking to a friend about this! Underrated take. YouTube is an amazing tool but the content is approaching email spam levels. Half the content is clickbait already.

I like meditation and older philosophy content. The other day I put on a Napoleon Hill video and was ten minutes into it when he started talking about putting down the smart phone and I realized it was actually just AI slop 😭
Weird. I thought kids content on YouTube was unpaid, so what's the incentive then?
Realize that YouTube removed the dislike button just before the dawn of AI slop. I’m not saying it was intentional on their part, but it would have been a good tool for us humans to suppress this onslaught of contentless “content”.
