do you think sparrow won't connect with a knots-blake2b node ? (wallet cli should be basically the same ...)

I think it should be reverse engineered to do that, but people have already stepped up and are ready to do it.
It doesn't need to be reverse engineered, it's fully open source and the changes are minimal. Only a few tiny changes to the code at most to support the new sighash type and maybe a couple odds and ends, if I'm not mistaken.
