I don’t like their marketing strategies. Another thing they did was open a giant lightning channel to me and then closed it. Presumably to get my attention.

Um, actually we do sometimes open Lightning channels -- we run one of the biggest nodes on the network 
-- I do not think however we open channels in order to get attention?
