I think this was okay in the beginning phases to build the tech and the infrastructure, but we're ready to crank it up a notch and find our niche.
Zaps, proof of work, cyberspace, Not only is nostr a better social media protocol, it's a better foundation for the fabled "metaverse" than anything before it.

vitor doesn't have a team and it's his side project, maybe I'll bug the ditto team about it
I have been saying this for the 3 years I’ve been on nostr… What do all the devs keep building… Clones, they just build clones of what’s already available…
Everything is an alternative to something. But not everything can be a competitor. I say keep backing things until they become a competitor or even the go to.
maybe it's just a mindset thing. This alternative is becoming my primary. It is the primary.

Fountain FM is both unique and hits a niche use. The design/ UI is a bit confusing, but it feels fresh.
try thinking of nostr as a caching and authentication layer instead of a social network: nwc for iot a blog driven by posting to nostr (more) web scraping feeds nostr backed collaborative editing

I've come across a ton of great stuff on YouTube, Spotify and even Instagram thanks to the algorithms. They're not inherently bad.
