The protocol is super forgiving. At the base layer it knows it's impossible to follow the GMings GNts regularly and we can thank daylight savings time for that.

Don't believe anyone saying it's super forgiving. Look at me. I don't follow the GM protocol and I've been on nostr for over a year, with about 10,000 posts and replies, still only about 300 followers. I've made memes that get 1 or 2 likes, done pretty good music edits that get 1 or 2 likes, etc. You've gotta really be ready for the consequences if you want to be like me, saying gfy to people for a simple gm
