I seen this for the first time ever today. A ton of people mostly or almost exclusively Ukrainians were bringing baskets covered with a napkin with letters XB on them to the church... It was pretty unusual for Prague.

In the various Eastern Christian Churches (Catholic and Orthodox), believers fast all of Lent and then bring all sorts of meats, butter, and treats to be blessed by the priests before consuming them on Easter Sunday! It's a lovely tradition, no?

I don't know... The idea of a priest squiring all over my food does not seem very appetizing to me.

I assume you mean the blessing with holy water. If that's the case, then leave your food in wrappers or maybe parchment paper? 😇😅

I think I will be leaving it in the fridge.
