As a privacy nerd, I'm embarrassed to say that I even touched a Windows machine recently, let alone opened YouTube directly. (I know, I know. I should have stuck with Invidious and/or NewPipe...) Nevertheless, I did so on an old machine to turn on some background music. At least, it was with the Brave browser. Small blessings, eh? Anyway, I noticed that the video struggled to load and kept flickering. The video timer was stuck at 00:00/00:00, so clearly it had some problems loading. Then, out of the corner of my eye, I noticed that the the little Brave logo on the address bar was flashing rapidly as the number of items blocked grew exponentially. I let it go for 30+ seconds, and it finally hit 99+, clearly not able to display anything higher, even if it continued to block more privacy-invading trash from Google. Does anyone have any idea what kind of new garbage YouTube is trying to sneak through? What are mainstream users being inundated with? #privacy #YouTube #asknostr

I haven't accessed Nostr via my desktop computer (or really, via browser) in a few weeks. I've been mostly using Voyage on mobile, so... Lo and behold, I sat down, booted up, and discovered that @Ditto by Soapbox has updated their interface! I love that there the hashtags I follow are right on top. However, I still need to figure out what a Blobbi is!
