Using Nostr to voice a gripe and concern I have.
If I encourage people to buy bitcoin… I could get into serious trouble with the FCA.
The FCA is a bit like the SEC in the US but it’s more draconian.
I had a meeting about this and was given guidance on the matter while in the uk last week.
I don’t live in the uk but I’m still liable. I’m told the new rules are so ridiculous I have to be careful with using rocket emojis when taking about bitcoin on my socials or on youtube.
It’s heinous, ridiculous and I hate it. But the uk is ridiculous and funnily enough, I often hate it.
The uk is not a bitcoin or crypto hub nor can it be with these rules in place.
So Study #bitcoin everyone.
And if you want to buy it, well that’s on you 🤙 🧡

You could consider moving from draconian YouTube to peertube, but that will mean much less money.

You are actually in more danger than most of the bitcoin creators here, because I assume your stuff gets seen by broader audience. So you can get noticed / targeted easier!
Others have 2h long talks between lightning and noster developers. This won't get reccomended as much as your fun short interesting experience type of videos.
