Too bad Primal doesn't Nostr properly, or have media servers that deliver.

Getting people to set up a wallet, signer, and a client, and potentially different options on each OS, is not going to be attractive to new users. Primal has issues but getting people to Nostr is probably the hardest part, and this was the simplest onboard process I've found.

Wallets aren't required, and people are familiar with password managers. It may seem like a great path until Primal users find out: - People are not seeing their videos or images - People are reacting in many ways, but Primal users only see a heart (and don't see a count, apparently) - Replies to replies are hidden from Primal users, making a concept of threads (from 30 years ago), not available. - All notes are being routed through a centralized relay, removing one of the largest benefits of Nostr
I just raised the WOT on jumble and they're gone. i dunno if the hive nostr1 relay is still being used but yeah sure go ahead and add WOT. if its being used it will be for demo stuff only. All of my other relays on hivetalk.org are running strict nostr.json only write-ability lists so no spam there. Its only the big public relays that have carry the bot spam. The thing is I lowered my WOT to near zero because I wanted to discovr more users but now it seems like we're gonna become more silo'd b/c of clawd to death. 🤣
Not too many. But honestly, devs, vibe coders and Bitcoiners must account for 90% of Nostr - they already speak a different language to me so differentiating bots is somewhat challenging lol
yea my bad for using the 3 big ones still. clients seem to want you to limit the relays to 4 and then you get no reach if you only use the smaller ones then people complain they never saw your note unless it went to a big one I dunno what to say :\
here's the thing - if you are onboarding a n00b, they are gonna be on one of the big three. and no WOT. and a F ton of comment spam. so how do you get around this problem? if they don't already have a community built around them?
my hot take: most active nostr folks are high agency get shit done folks. the ones who don't join nostr are probably doomscrolling or are milking their infloooencor status on legacy media. the astro signs have already spoken, social media inflooocencors die in 2026. End of an era 2011-2025 In the age of chaos - 2026-2027 - the forecasts say don't waste time with low agency and neither should you :D
