Can't ask a rational question of any religious claim. It's a miracle and god can do anything so 🤷♂
Jesus isn't one or the other. Scripture actually refers to Him as prophet, priest and King. The ppl Refer to him as prophet here because they recognized that role.
Just my two sats🙂
Pretty easy answer, the CROWD called him a prophet. 10 year old could figure that one out.
What is the answer? I don't understand
The crowd called him a prophet, even though in reality he was God. The crowd is not god and did not see him as god, especially before his death and ressurection.
Then later a different crowd called him god and you believed the other crowd?
Yes. There's many levels on which we see things differently. Remind me what year it is again?
2025
2025 years since what
Jesus was supposedly born
God bless you
Were you going anywhere with this?
No further then you were
First, you are using the wrong "than."
Second, you jumped in talking about crowds calling a prophet god. You were the one making points. I was just asking questions. So where were you going with this? What are you trying to prove?
Nothing. I explained to you the context of the original passage. You then made a false equivalence between the crowd calling Jesus a prophet during Biblical times and the historical and religious truth that is Jesus is God, implying that both were delusions of the masses.
I don't think you're open to legitimately hearing and trying to understand these topics and beliefs, and you'd rather play silly gotcha games, which is why I played them too (2025).
Just remember when you look at a calendar that no matter how hard you cope, thousands of years of history and tradition are not going anywhere.
All the calendar proves is that violence and fearmongering was very effective for the creators of this religion and reversing the network effects is difficult.
And what game am I playing exactly? How is my original note wrong?

If you're interested in learning more, read the Bible from cover to cover and then listen to a few historians talk about the history of Christianity and it's effects on the world so you can have a good baseline for knowledge.
Commenting on a misunderstanding of a single bible verse and saying "all religious people have no rational arguments" is silly. But god bless you and best of luck to you on your journey.
Why can't you just answer my questions? Why did you even jump into this conversation if all you're going to say is you're wrong and read the bible. I've read enough of it.
What specific question do you need me to answer

Your original note is wrong because a crowd referring to Jesus as a prophet has nothing to do with miracles or the Almighty power of God.
Helpful?
I said you can't question a religious claim because they are not rational. This refers to more than just a verse about crowds. It refers to religious claims in general. Religious claims are full of unprovable and impossible stories. In other words, Jesus is a prophet and god because it was a miracle. Right?
You are a miracle and if one was to tell your story from the beginning it would seem inconceivably impossible. Jesus is God because He is. If you think anything is impossible, I'd ask you to reflect on what our reality is.
This is a classic response from religious people. You ask a question they can’t answer so they move the goalposts by putting the burden of proof back on you. How is my existence a miracle? There are billions of people that have existed. That’s not a miracle. That’s as ordinary as it gets. But like I said before, you can’t have a rational argument with religion.
It's a miracle we all exist.
I'm not trying to put the burden of proof on you. Lord knows you cannot prove your beliefs. But make it easier for me - what would be satisfactory proof for you to believe the stories in the bible were true?
You don’t know my beliefs and Im not telling you to believe what I believe.
Prove to me that a man could be born without a father
Doesn’t Jesus being called a prophet imply he was human and not a god??
Those people viewed him as a prophet
Is it really that hard to understand
Appreciate you chiming in :) my counter to that is these are all human titles for lack of a better word. Why not just call him God from the get go? Was there some confusion on what he was?? Human or man?
Implying he was a man, not God. How is this hard to understand?
The romans who crucified him saw him as a heritic and a criminal. How dull do you have to be to take a single line from the bible and say "See!!! The crowd said he was a prophet not a god!!! What a contradiction!"
Seriously just think for two seconds before continuing to make a fool of yourself.
This is what I mean about rational arguments with religion. He’s telling you to think. Be logical. Be rational. Use your brain but also don’t use your brain when the religion claims a man was born without a father. Don’t use your brain when someone says Eve was made of Adam’s rib. Doesn’t matter if it’s illogical or impossible to transform a bone into a full adult sized woman. This is not the time to think and be rational.
But about that day or hour no one knows, neither the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father." — Mark 13:32
This verse makes him sound like a prophet too. But I’m sure there’s an explanation lol. Something along the lines of god wanting to be truly human and experience what it’s like or something. Or maybe it’s to be more relatable to humans. A priest gave me that answer before it was quite silly. What’s relatable about a fatherless man walking on water and magically curing the blind? So he’s by god because god has infinite knowledge of everything but he’s also not human because humans can’t walk on water or cure the blind. Must be another unexplainable miracle.
You simply don't get it. God bless you. I used to think exactly like you did too and would make these same arguments for hours. Believe what you wish! But if you think you can attribute everything about existence, life, and our history to some reason and logic, you are more clueless then someone who simply accepts they have no idea.
Moving the goalposts again. I think I’ve proven my point.
You have! Highly intelligent discussion.
Sarcasm?
Use logic and reason
We have been. Can you use it?
Yes!
