I remember when my follows were so low I had to dip into the global feed to find new nostriches sometimes. Roughly 1 in every 7 posts had at least something to think about. It was a good resource when needed. The contrast between quality notes and absolute garbage is very clear there. There must be a better way to find interesting people in the beginning though.
