Suggestion to my peeps who've given up on zaps:
I get it, shit can be frustrating sometimes. However, I use zaps as a type of reaction. Consider adding a Lightning address for something or someone you'd like to support. It'll cost you nothing that I know of. My zaps will go through. Someone you like will get a small amount of support they wouldn't otherwise get. Nothing changes for you other than seeing zaps. You could probably even disable those notifications.

Never understood why you'd turn off zaps.
Or reactions for that matter. Just have both.
I can imagine turning off the notifications for them if that's what you mean. For someone who gets a ton of notifications especially. Like I probably wouldn't want thousands of those per day.
But add a client Dev address or something. Or if clients just didn't show a zap button for people without an address. I waste a lot of time zapping and getting errors. Multi layered issue.
Sorry, I meant just not using zaps, no address and no nwc. And also in clients that completely remove likes from the interface. There are a lot of reasons why anyone does anything on Nostr though, and they're free to do so.
I dunno if I'd zap someone if they just had someone else's zap address set on their profile.
I wouldn't know or care. They're free to spend my zaps however they want. Whether it's buying something, holding, or rerouting to a charity, etc. To each their own. At the end of the day, I'm just tired of having to keep track of who does and doesn't have an address or endless errors when I try to zap. Honestly just disabling the button is the simplest, most bullet proof solution here.
Then no one has to do shit for me to avoid this nonsense.
