Nah you wrong. Freedom of speech is not freedom from consequences. Never was = one can't trash his employer on social media and not expect to be fired. The right was rightly unhappy to be cancelled over having to abide by the ever shifting standards of people they didnt agree with. If you stand for the left on this issue you're saying you wanna live in a society where political violence is celebrated against the right. If that's the case just say it. If you truly believe that, just say "I believe in antony gramsci tactics and I wanna destroy common sense".

This is the most insane boost to popularity this guy could have gotten. Just a couple days ago, no one exept a couple boomers who still watch tv knew who this guy is. Today is is on the frontpage of news outlets, accross all of social media and everyone talkes about how the fascist Trump regime starts to censor critics. Even if this wasn't a calculated move, it willl absolutely increase the reach of this guy and not silence him
