If they're that dangerous then why allow them to live freely in society at all? People tend to apply this thinking to guns but nothing else in the world around us that can cause immense harm.

Then there's the whole can of worms of how you define who's dangerous or mentally ill. In the US, there are a large number of people who think I'm mentally ill for even wanting to own the firearms I own.
