I put it down to two opposing ideologies. Republicans at this time are pro the individual, hence this action. Democrats are pro collectivism, hence the censorship via the industrial complex under government threat when they were in power. I like your approach (build unbreakable p2p) but also vote for those with the same ideology that backs individual freedom (noting people and parties change over time). Thank those behind Bitcoin and Nostr, two tools supporting individualism.
