It's crazy how few people actually know the story and why it's celebrated.
Guy Fawkes was a Catholic terrorist that tried to blow up parliament to bring in a Catholic dictatorship.
The reason they celebrate is because he failed, they are celebrating his death. That's what the firecracker night is actually about.
