Maybe acetone, or alcohol in a bag tied up tight around it to soak. Not sure if acetone will eat Ziploc. Can place mug and Ziploc in bigger container full of water to press liquid against outside of mug. Then after soaking take a razor and pick at the edges. Otherwise sand paper possibly but that might remove other glazing.
