It's almost as if I wrote this myself. I only had like 3 school friends IRL, and not even at the same time.

I definitely have more online friends than IRL. The few from school faded away (nothing bad, just no contact anymore). Don't think I had a stereotypical 'best friend' either, just ones where it was about entertainment. And ya the strongest connections I had, at least on a mental level, were ones that I met later and online, where the reason I haven't met them IRL yet (not that there's a need, it's just that it'd be fun/nice) is basically because of economic reasons and life circumstances.
