Still playing the fiat KYC game, so people have no reason to leave that shitty place.
He only thing that makes people leave is either when shit or dead people pile up in their place.
Cool I will try it out.
@Zapstore too, right? RIGHT?
I actually care about users a lot more i guess lol. Zapstore is only known by a very small number of people so its not my priority
thats exciting! Congrats on the progress
support the nerds! it's literally a one liner. once you publish to the playstore, just run
zsp publish -r github.com/damus-io/notedeck -m playstore
and all assets and description, etc will be maintained. you could even build all of this into a pipeline. tell one of your robots to look into this for you.
How many users do we need for you to publish here?
Yeah, “nobody uses it” is a weaksauce excuse. That basically describes everything here.
I think this is just a variation of the Amber debate from last year... What better demonstrates that the app is for normal people than alienating the nerds?
I just renewed my Purple subscription and I’d prefer Zapstore options.
you can pubblich it 😅
How does he know how many uses it?
From using it, I can say majority of the devs use it.
Also, @Zapstore this sounds to me like an opportunity to have some stats on the website. If you don’t have already. 🤙
If it leads to a single download, it basically makes up for the effort to add it.
There are some. Would like to show real time numbers though... working on that right now 🫡
do you not see the irony in your statement? nostr users are dwindling and the last 2 users are complaining i haven’t prioritized zapstore. Give me a fucking break. no new user is going to download zapstore and then damus to use it for the first time. This is the amber debate all over again.
Damus has always been about onboarding new users and having a non complicated experience for them.
I don’t run random commands unless i first understand how they work and what is actually happening under the hood. No it’s not that simple.
There are many things I like about Damus, which is why I still use it as my primary client, but a non complicated experience for new users doesn’t really describe it yet.
I think nostr in general has challenges. My relays list is a bit messed up, syncing doesn’t work across apps. I think I’m going to have to roll my own note to reset it back to one that actually works properly (currently flips from 5 to 9 on refresh and sometimes shows the wrong relays…).
i think it's more about supporting your rabid fan base community that has been in the trenches with you and supporting you and singing your praises over the last three years. if you continue to support them, they will continue to support you and all of your new endeavors and target communities.
"SuP3r ag3ntiiiik v1B3 c0d1ngggg skillzzzzz"
really? I don't have any android user fans and in fact I have only experienced them shit talking me for not supporting amber. most of my users are on iPhone and don't care about zapstore or amber.
haha :) anyways, i wanted Amber support too, but i understood your reasoning and i agree with your reasons.
i think Zapstore is an easy win though. it doesn't require much work, you already have the APK and it's just a couple nostr events to publish.
