It's bizarre to me that a nation would use an operating system so easily controlled by a foreign government. Maybe not an off the shelf distro, but even that seems better than Windows. A custom GNU/Linux distro shouldn't be that big of a project for a nation.

We onboarded to Windows. Linux arrived later and we never switched.
The irony is lost here. A nation can just as easily control a custom OS as they can a custom Bitcoin implementation, the blockchain is transparent, whereas an OS can be opaque.
