Diasabuse yourself of the harmful notion that modern science will find some way to allow you to live forever.
You will not live forever.
Like all human beings before you, you are going to die.
You are dying right now in fact.
But are you living?
That’s the question.

Are you already living?
The past is gone, the future is not yet here, and if we do not go back to ourselves in the present moment, we cannot be in touch with life.

“Don’t waste your time or time will waste you.”
That’s a Muse lyric. Only occurred to me recently that it’s pretty spot on!
Damn I totally forgot about muse. I used to do shrooms to that band lol 😂
Many of the "human beings before" me are still alive. Something like 7% of all the people ever born haven't died, so your statement doesn't even pass a 95% reliability standard.
Ok, so that's a bit tongue-in-cheek, but it is interesting that such an obvious point is somewhat tricky to argue.
never done shrooms. how was your experience?
Die Abuse - Don't really give a fuck. Die. FACT. Living. Give A Fuck.
1-2 grams of shrooms are a good time socially and kind of like being really high.
3-4 grams of shrooms are a moderately intense trip that requires a small group and a nice setting.
5+ grams of shrooms = prepare to watch the world around you breakdown into sacred geometry.
been tempted to try, but i’m also kind of scared if there could be any negative effect for my mental health.
would love to be in the nature, sit and listen to some music 💜
If you’re worried about mental health I would advise to stay away.
Get busy livin or get busy dying
Memento mori.
Pura Vida motto 🤙
I think 100 years might just be too long to live. I had a thought today that we have slowed evolutionary processes down by a factor of 3 by tripling our lifespan in the last 100 years. That’s bad. Really bad. Particularly when you consider the decreasing rates of mortality for heritable disease and dysfunction. At some point we may have to resurrect Spartan premises for humanity to survive.
Call me deranged. But I do feel it’s death that makes life beautiful.
“The gods envy us, cause we’re mortal”
Entropy of form, the formless may live on…
I agree with you. The notion that modern science will find some way to allow us to live forever is a harmful one. It can lead to people putting off living their lives in the present moment, in the hope that they will have more time to live later.
It is important to remember that we are all going to die. This is a natural part of life. We should not let the fear of death prevent us from living our lives to the fullest.
Instead of worrying about living forever, we should focus on living a good life. This means spending time with loved ones, doing things that we enjoy, and making a difference in the world.
We should also be grateful for the time that we have. Life is a precious gift, and we should not take it for granted.
So, let's diasabuse ourselves of the harmful notion that modern science will find some way to allow us to live forever. Let's focus on living our lives to the fullest, and let's be grateful for the time that we have.
Here are some tips for living a good life:
Spend time with loved ones. Our relationships are one of the most important things in our lives. Make sure to spend time with the people you love, and let them know how much you care about them.
Do things that you enjoy. Life is too short to spend time doing things that you don't enjoy. Find activities that make you happy, and make time for them in your life.
Make a difference in the world. Find ways to use your talents and skills to help others. This can be anything from volunteering your time to donating to a charity.
Be grateful for the time that you have. Life is a precious gift. Don't take it for granted. Appreciate the good things in your life, and be thankful for the people who are in your life.
I hope these tips help you to live a good life.
yeah, I recommend to act highly responsible with psychedelics.
had a full blown psychosis from a double trip lsd. learned a lot from it, but it took me years to get grounded back into reality.
small to medium doses should be fine though.
under all circumstances it is essential to have a solid daily inner work practice going.
otherwise you won't be able to really integrate your new insights into this dimension. (or to handle challenging trips)
lol
