Please help settle this debate I’ve been having with my girlfriend about running a node nostr:npub1yqzle7hv4xyaqkquyv0fjjyt9tlul8ggjvwtrlrkv9aswg9jrxvszzn3a7 #asknostr Let’s say Core 30 gets issued and some sick fuck puts a disgusting, foul picture in the allowed larger OP Return. After that, We spin up a node using an older version of Core or Knots. Is that disgusting filth stored on my computer that’s running the node? I do understand that it won’t be in my mempool using implementations only allowing small OP Returns, but is the nasty content stored on my drive if I’m running a full node? Thanks in advance✌️ #bitcoin #bitcoinnode #core #knots #spamwars

Once the transaction is confirmed in a block there is no difference between knots and core, both store the confirmed blocks. However, if the data is stored in op_return (however big): as far as I know, there is an option that you can configure to not store any op_return data. But that also is available in both knots and core

How is it retarded to be against adding kid fucker pics to the distributed ledger? Am I missing something or are they trying to legalize possession or criminalize bitcoin?
