Okay I just vibed this. A static web page that can be hosted on github, and a python script that runs on any computer. Requests are sent via nostr DM and the script serves unique addresses from an xpub back via DM. You load the python script with an xpub and nsec, but you can an nsec dedicated to this purpose, dont use your actual nsec. Has anyone written a nostr based script to serve unique bitcoin addresses with requested amount so it shows like a POS to a client/webpage? Seems like a no brainer. I'm thinking I have a python script on a laptop with 1000 pre-loaded addresses (or maybe an xpub). I code a simple webpage with code to DM the laptop which serves the address and amount to be charged. Not exactly a replacement for btcpay but seems it could accomplish a lot.

My btcpay hosts a few merchants, one of them being the brewery that hosts my cete (meet up). I only enabled lightning payments but Im about to FAFO and enable on chain with 0 confirmation invoice settlement. #ChangeMyMind Every decision has risks and benefits. I'm starting to believe this is the right path. Happy to elaborate on my thoughts if anyone cares.

Amethyst doesnt load names or pictures for most people anymore but Im starting to recognize the npubs 😆
