But that's not to say twitter doesn't have major problems. But it still has a pretty decent user base and you can make a good feed of interesting and varied stuff.

it is simply disqualified in my mind by the fact that what is "interesting" is defined by who uses it to promote their debt-fiat-driven extraction system. nostr has its own algorithms driven by its most popular entry points but in the deep substrata lie people who are actually surfacing novel things. yes, twitter surfaces some of that too but the bias is much more obviously extractive. with nostr at least some of it is genuine human interaction.
