Wow… nostr:npub17u5dneh8qjp43ecfxr6u5e9sjamsmxyuekrg2nlxrrk6nj9rsyrqywt4tp nailed it regarding analysis of bitcoin address poisoning attacks. This is something hardware wallets could address through UI displaying confirmation of address as either “self” or “non-self.”
AFAIK, no hardware wallets today can tell you during signing the “to” addresses are “yours” or not.
nostr:npub1az9xj85cmxv8e9j9y80lvqp97crsqdu2fpu3srwthd99qfu9qsgstam8y8 I think would intrinsically understand this problem…but fixing it will be tricky and can be fixed at transaction creation level too, not just on hardware wallet.

COLDCARD has being doing this for years. It's one, if not the only that checks even change address too.
I’d have to look at the UI again, because I can’t picture how the self/nonself gets displayed, but I’m not surprised the first past this post would be COLDCARD.
Bitcoin-Safe.org now warns of address poisoning too nostr:nevent1qqsx67vc045el2gx2euap028lu2s4m3ht6h48h37346nyum5l68r4eqpzpmhxue69uhkummnw3ezumt0d5hsygzp09ey8ww3m9mrnsx0empwvcew69vgua2c0quxhf29v5qmk5llhupsgqqqqqqsajs4qx
