There is great societal and political risk in trying to outlaw things otherwise peacefully owned by law abiding citizens. It creates a damaging chasm between citizenry and government. I fear our political class has forgotten this historical truth.

It’s no coincidence that this punitive legislation is proposed just as the ETFs are about to be approved. The govt wants to push you into paper bitcoin products within the regulated financial system where it can surveilled and seized. They want to lock you into their failing system.
I own bitcoin, don't own anything that government is able to confiscate, I am armed, length of life has little value for me. Is this what they call sovereign?
