Out there, the system is robbing you at best and killing you at worst. And here we are arguing about whether Monero, Coinjoin, or Lightning is better and the other stuff is shit. No dude, all three are good tools and each one has its use case, it's up to you if you want to get caught up in stupid wars fighting among ourselves when we want the same thing. Get over this for fuck's sake, let everyone use whatever they want.

Agreed on the pointless part, but the three tools are not interchangeable. Monero protects fungibility at rest. CoinJoin breaks the link between inputs and outputs at one point in time, and Lightning keeps payments off chain while leaving the channel openings on it. Pick by the threat you actually face. I run one of each, and none of them covers the blind spot of the others.
Then the useful part is naming what all three share: the interior is private, the doors are public. Monero has to be entered through a swap that leaves a record on the other chain. A CoinJoin has an operator who sees the whole round. Lightning opens a channel with one on-chain output and closes it with a transaction that writes both parties into the same block. Whichever tool you pick for your threat, the edges of it still get handed to the same analyst with the same patience. Not an argument against any of them. Just the reason I keep one of each and still assume the chain side is doing fine without me.
