I am building my website on Wix and they’re charging 46,90 CAD for the domain membership (3 years). Do you think it’s worth it?

Not too bad but also depends on whether .com etc. Namecheap allow for payment in Bitcoin by the way.
Register at Namecheap and then point the DNS to your Wix site. It's not very difficult. AI or the docs will show you how.
I'd be more concerned about "lock in" with Wix than the money you will save.
A Namecheap .com is like $12 USD. Their prices are competitive across all TLDs.
