There is actually an algo! They are called “those who joined #nostr a while ago” If they do not follow you and repost your notes, you have 0 reach! To fix this issue, nostr devs should implement an open-source algo that we can use to be able to get our voices heard and spread to those who want to see it!
Lot's of algos exist now to be honest. None exist at the protocol level. However, many popular clients have trending notes or what's hot feeds, etc. and various DMS feeds. Content discovery is getting better.
You mean lots of useless algo, right?! Tending is retarded bullshit. I don’t even want to open it anymore and see Odell with the same messages all over everywhere, together with primal VCs and OpenSats boys! Fuck that shit! Feeds are empty! The approach being used is taken from centralized platforms, and it doesn’t make any sense! We need something else!
Well, I didn’t say there’s no algo, there are some, it’s just that there’s none pushed to you against your will. I don’t think the problem is a missing algo for the new users, but the Web of Trust practically making new users invisible.
¡Enhorabuena!
