In the inferno Dante reserves the deepest level of hell for traitors. Yet most people betray themselves everyday. - ignoring their values - neglecting their potential - avoiding the truth - disregarding their health - self sabotage - choosing fear over growth - not saying what they believe The lesson here is that our hell is often of our own making. It’s the cold distance we create from our own soul. From who we are meant to be.

Philosopher Hodl. I dig this version. To repay for the insight: "Be the slave of your own actions, not the victim of your emotions." - Epictetus
You always make it look like a punishment. A lack of strength. Yes, we can be better, but we are not infinite. If there is a balance, I have not found it. PS: maybe, just maybe, I took it too personally.

as a result, many are unable to be alone with their own thoughts or deeply look in the mirror.

Self Sabotage is my greatest enemy
I will so use this in my next ethic's class next week in my 10th grade! They will have to read this post and try to unpack it! Lovely!

"To be great, be whole; exclude Nothing, exaggerate nothing that is you. Be whole in everything. Put all you are Into the smallest thing you do. The whole moon gleams in every pool, It rides so high." Fernando Pessoa
To be Dante's inferno you need to be dead by 1380, and not be sorry. The Ninth circle is depicted as frozen, for such sins are cold and calculating, being the last of 3 categories of sin - malice (intellect turned to evil). Surely no better work has ever been conceived - glad youre on it.
Here the fire of sin is long extinguished — only the chill remains, where the heart once knew trust. Not punished for passion, but for its absence

Testing zaps on this note… we made five attempts to⚡zap this note, at mandalorianhodl@pay.proofofprice.com, over a period of 22 minutes. All five attempts were successful. Please check on your end to be sure you received. Average zap time was 4722ms (4.7 seconds). We consider this zap time slow... generally, zaps should complete in under two seconds. (Other Nostr users might think your zaps are broken, might not zap you again.) If you wanted to fix this... you could try getting a free Rizful account to reliably receive zaps -- ... then, pls reply here so we can ⚡zap you some sats to be sure it's working.
No prob. Actually we can't tell what the bottleneck is, you'd have to look at your server implementation. The Zap specification does require some back-and-forth between the client and the server, and if there are slow servers or slow network connections anywhere in the path, you can have latency issues....
