Yellowstone is an incredibly special place. Geographically it forms a gentle passage through the vast Rocky Mountain range. Because of this it has become a grand junction and hallowed meeting ground for the beasts of the continent amidst a backdrop of fire and ice.

Yellowstone is great for so many reasons, but I think Yosemite still takes the cake for pure wow factor
If it's intriguing, you might really enjoy hiking somewhere a bit quieter. Similar places, only without the bustle of cars and throngs of strangers speaks to some in a way that a convention overlook never will. A good question for a ranger could be what they'd recommend to visiting family of about your fitness level who wanted a quiet hike where they could see animals, rivers, waterfalls, mountains, or whatever you're most drawn to.
As much as I like Yellowstone, my favorite parks near the region were grand Teton and glacier. Glacier was absolutely astonishing, worth the easy hike. Hoping to go back with the fam next time.

It is awesome. Bison, Mountain Goats / Sheep / Elk .... I don't think moose are real but all the other animals are there.
