We make difficult tradeoffs to legally deliver a product that is usable by newbs. There are no solutions; it’s tradeoffs all the way down. I have no issues with the Damus design choices. They can't even secure they're own Nostr keys. It really makes you wonder. It's happened multiple times.

Keep getting hacked, the companies own Npub was compromised too, said their users npubs were stored, and could have been leaked, and one time they lost track of account numbers and didn't know how much money each person had.

on a sidenote, does primal still have a sats store? the sats icon on the upper right corner in the wallet is no more there and prior to that, buying sats in the wallet stopped working (on android)

Cashu has no path to becoming non-custodial, while Lightning does. In fact, the intersection between relays and LSPs is akin to a match made in heaven. Instead of working on that, everyone just uses shortcuts and argues with each other.

Yes, I can't connect same wallet and unable to access my sats, after switching from IOS android I have to connect damus to the same device to access my sats on coinos What if device is lost?

yes. we might be able to modify the custody tradeoffs in a way that would no longer require kyc. i don’t have a timeline for this, but looking into it.

Have you considered Cashu? - Doesn’t require KYC - Users can select their preferred custodian (removes liability from Primal if custodian is down) - Provides Lightning and ecash capabilities (nutzaps/new features become possible) - You can run your own npubx.cash server for providing Lightning addresses - User’s balance and transactions (outside of public zap/nutzap events) are private Here’s a quick demo to show how easy it could be to implement:
