The harvester ants are kinda moving slowly today since its chilly. When i was a kid i could sit and watch ants for hours, because to me, they have always been very interesting. #Ants #countrylife https://cdn.nostrcheck.me/8d9d2b77930ee54ec3e46faf774ddd041dbb4e4aa35ad47c025884a286dd65fa/520c5f38912434a05f8b2ba5bdb4799a38aaa094e8e89e6bf11fdea7f79cae36.mp4

I liked fucking with rollie pollies as a kid. Idk what they're actually called lol
When I was around age two, we went to a motorcycle hill climbing competition. Crazy dudes, going near vertical, while clinging to a roaring engine that reverberates off the near-cliff, throwing dirt, etc.
I watched ants the whole time. Far more interesting at the time.
I had "pill bugs" drive my Hot Wheels cars while making roads on a dirt pile in our yard.
I agree. Especially the leaf cutter ants in Costa Rica were particularly fascinating. But really all of them are amazing. They may look drunk, lost, or in need of help, but they are exceedingly capable and productive.

That’s fucking genius 🤣
I liked watching just one ant and following it around. sometimes you'd lose it in the crowd though.
I collected them. I had a goal of finding a queen but I don’t think I ever caught one.
Yes!
