I had a wild kitten hitch a ride home from a service station under the hood of my car once. We kept it. Good cat. It was a little nervous always, but entertaining as hell with all it's shenanigans. Only ever really like me ... because I fed it. Tom Brown says the quickest way to an animal's heart is with food.

That's beautiful. I'm sure the baby was grateful. And you're right! Though, the others fed her here and there, nightly, for months before I saw her hiding under a boiled peanut cart, and she wouldn't come within 20 ft of them. They were mystified that I could get close to her at all. This little girl has had trust issues. I'm just glad she was able to overcome them with me. I hope I can do what's right by her. She's a good kitty. She deserves it.
