How do you deal with the “loss”? I mean working though the friends not knowing who you are anymore
Actions > Words
You gain more than you lose. When anonymous you can truly be yourself , and because of that you'll make truly real friends.
My normie "friends" question as to why I want privacy.
"What are you doing that requires that much privacy?"
"I don't do anything illegal, so I don't care if they track everything"
They don't get it, while I'm understanding counter-economics and Bitcoin.
It's not either/or! Why not some nyms on the side whilst keeping the main account as well.
Establishing a web of trust will be hard when you keep deleting your npubs. And if you telegraph your identity change to your web beforehand then it’s kind of unnecessary. Social graphs have their own fingerprint to deanonymize you.
Great for privacy and useful for OpSec though if you don’t reestablish connections.
Ask them to look on their phone.
They will then show you they care about privacy
If something is that important, they will find a way to contact you.
Will we see the @calle nym disappear soon?
You cannot delete on nostr. ;)

I doubt it, he is too addicted to attention and hype
in fact that this advice he is giving is probably so that others will trash their identities and leave more clout on his hands

I like to ask them to imagine a society where everyone knew how much money everyone else got paid with full transparency. Normie brains can't handle that kind of thought experiment 🤣
Hiding is for the fearful. It's better to shine as brightly as you can. Be a prime example. Attract as many eyeballs as possible. If you hide, your disappearance will be silent.
Also, if you find your friends again, you'll be easily detected.

Bitcoiners make it almost to the finish line, but then they still dismiss Monero.

Normalize non-anons. Don’t reboot your identity. Don’t delete your accounts (spoiler: you can’t). Don’t start over finding your friends again. Ask more of clients and relays to support long-lasting identities so you can build connections and grow old with it.
Speak louder and more believably than you can when being an anon.
All that's left to nuke for me is LinkedIn. 🫡
Data has value. I don't like giving corporations free stuff to profit off of.

Hey everyone,
There's a little library tucked away on our street, nestled between a bustling bakery and a cozy bookstore. It's called "The Book Nook," and for me, it's been a magical escape ever since I was a kid. I'd spend hours curled up with dog-eared paperbacks, dreaming of faraway lands and fantastical creatures.
Now, at 22, I'm a college student myself, nose-deep in textbooks for my literature degree. But The Book Nook is struggling. They can't afford new books, and the worn-out shelves are crying out for fresh stories. They're this close to having to shut their doors, and the thought of losing that haven breaks my heart.
Here's the thing: they only need a small boost. Their goal is to raise $1,000 for new books, and if just 100 people donated $10, we could make it happen!
Imagine the look on a child's face when they discover a brand new book filled with vibrant illustrations and exciting adventures. A ten-dollar donation could be the spark that ignites a lifelong love of reading in a young mind.
The Book Nook isn't just a library, it's a community center, a refuge for bookworms, and a portal to endless possibilities. Even if you can't donate, please share this with your friends and family who might love to help keep the magic of stories alive.
Thank you for your time and generosity!

Being believable is not the goal. Being unbelievable is much more powerful.
