Both sides are as corrupt as each. It's like the false dichotomy between Republicans and Democrats.

I pretty much agree with you
TheBitcoincommons.org is also working on a similar approach just not as radical as Libbitcoin (still has mempool, and a UTXOset). Coded in Rust, and modular, presents a differentially tested consensus spec (that is validation tested for over 900k blocks. Still alpha but does have a release as compared to Libbitcoin not having a release yet.
