Philanthropy can be a serious hinderance. Don't take it unless you absolutely can't do without it. It's a really bad incentive. Go try to make a profit, the market knows best.

Is that the pitch to Opensats donors?
Nostr projects have a nice opportunity to bootstrap via grants, while retaining full control and ownership. But continuing to fund via grants over the long term does seem to be detremental for most projects. It kills any sense of urgency. The incentives are not there to build a useful product for users.
this is why i weaned my smol business off the grant train 8 months ago. still here. still focused on being sustainable. burn rate low, i will outlast both grants and VCs flooding the market with free subsidized services because I only have an obligation to my customers.
There's no one stopping other investors from betting on what they think is a better horse. That is beside the point that grants lead to economic lethargy, when they're too generous or long-term. Humans need a sense of urgency, to stay focused and recognize opportunity.
Is the wrong person for making a plan not always the same person? Where this same person is always "someone with incompatible values compared to mine". ( @Vitor Pamplona I' just vibing with taking the opposition to you.)
I am thankful for this specifi url from you. 🫂 Do I come finally in close contact with your project which you were taking with you to @npub1purp...zkzp Hessen and I actively got around back then? #purplekonnektiv
It’s important that we openly discuss and get to know all of the Nostr business use cases. So forgive me if I dig deeper… What about Nostr makes it desirable for building “private intranet” tools and software?
It took some digging but here is a slidedeck on the topic.

We are working on an idea how to build SAAS business apps on top of Nostr. The idea is to rebuild apps like Slack, Notion, Figma, Github, Linear on single Nostr relay and Nostr standard that would allow some cool things like seamless cross-app messaging (e.g. like Slack <> Linear), cross-app workflows. Here is PDF with more details.: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1U_bC4AmR2_61GwgiShNv_EctOcyh4u7A/view?usp=drive_link If anybody is working on something similar or like the idea and want to join our efforts, please let me know.
