Question to everyone on #Nostr: How many weeks of repeated collective action, do you think it would take to hyperbitcoinize the globe? Imagine: In front of every local bank, commercial bank and central bank in every country of this world, there would be a #Bitcoin enthusiast peacefully demonstrating to their fellow citizens, that a life without banks and therefore government issued currency is possible. Handing out info material and inviting the curious ones they encounter to their local meetup. #Bitcoin is a globally decentralized grassroots movement, so let’s take permissionless collective action on Saturdays. How many weeks? I’m on week 77 with #SaturdaysForSatoshi, but the power of this idea grows exponentially, when 🫵🏼 take action.

Big corporations also have to support #bitcoin Can happen if enough people push for adoption

That is absolutely awesome. 🫡💪 My opinion on the subject is that we need to push for #circulareconomy . We need to lead by example. Show ppl that it's not only a SOV, but a MOE, and UOA as well. Bitcoiners have pushed the HODL narrative to the point, that's all anyone considers. All the infloooencers still do it. You're just supposed to buy and HODL for NGU. While I completely agree with HODLING as a savings acct, you also need to live. You need things. Whether it be food, gas, cell phone, or even soap. By living on the Bitcoin Standard, you prove that. All of my money is in BTC. I only have about $26 in my Fold acct, which I use as a bank acct for all intents and purposes. I pay my cell phone service in Sats, I bought my cold card with Sats, etc. There are many examples. If I can pay in Sats, then I do. I also earn in Sats. I sell my soap for only Sats. I do not accept fiat. As do a lot of other ppl on Nostr. We need to get away from the narrative of never spend your Sats. Otherwise, why do you have them? When NGU are you not spending them? Are you just going to hold them forever, and not live life? You can always spend and replace. But that's just my 2 Sats. Take it as you will. Good luck on the 🍊 💊 ing. 🫡💪🫂

I really want to be optimistic. But I don't think hyperbitcoinization will happen through this method. It is important and I admire everyone's actions. But hyperbitcoinization will only happen after adoption by multiple states. After decades of not having to deal with real money and save, people no longer know how to manage their assets. Most people will not understand BTC and still think that Fiat currencies are backed by gold.

The important thing for me is not hyperbitcoinization but saving as many people as possible before the current economy and states crash.
Time to take action and help them understand from the bottom up. We cannot trust states to make this happen for us, since it’s not in their best interest. If we don’t teach our communities with the intention of empowering them, someone will, with the intention of cementing a position of power.
Agree. Similar feels. You can't change every person's beliefs in this way, but some will always be affected by it. It's not pointless & yet if your goal is global adoption, it can't be the only approach. I guess Bitcoin meetups are also very similar to church services, except they're held monthly instead of every Sunday (seems fitting given the 4 year cycles). I've wanted to put up a billboard that says "JESUS SAVES" and then in smaller letters underneath "IN BITCOIN". If I were to show up at a bank, this would be on my placard.

As long as you are not harming or harassing people, go for it. Personally, Bitcoin is as perfect and the best money we have ever had. I see no need to convince or preach to anyone. It will become part of normal life, just like we didn’t have to preach in the 90s about TCP/IP.
