I value @Saifedean Ammous opinion highly. However I think that he is wrong about Milei. Milei inherited the Argentinian ponzi. He is very clearly trying to exit it. Not an easy job at all! Maybe an impossible one at which he will fail. But he is trying very hard, something that none of the other politicians riding slower or faster fiat ponzi schemes are even thinking of doing. We will have the answer when (if?) Milei delivers on his campaign promise to end the Peso, end the central bank and dollarise. I don't even agree that dollarisation is the best idea... but it would be an improvement on the last 60 years of Peso inflation. I can't help but suspect that Saif is influenced by Milei's foreign policy stance, which I also disagree with. But it should not blind us to the reforms that he is successfully implementing in the face of massive resistance form the Argentinian status quo.
