Also, if you’re on Android, you can just use Molly, which is a strictly better hardened fork of Signal and is interoperable with Signal. Molly removes MobileCoin.

You could delete signal and download and run Molly, just verify the number and you are up and running. I'm not sure about migrating data as I use the disappearing message feature. Also,you can run both on your phone simultaneously to use two numbers on the same phone. The other person just sees signal regardless of what you are running.
