What an absolutely incredible day out.
Well, apart from getting a puncture, a minor bike mechanical (I didn't repair the puncture properly) — losing a toenail on the run and bleeding through my trainers.
Swim was fine, only the odd elbow to the face 🤣
I wanted to go sub 10:30 but realistically, I have not been fit enough — I broke my foot in May and have suffered from plantar fasciitis for a few months now.
Plus, I burned about 20, maybe 25 minutes repairing the puncture on my bike.
Final time was 10 hours, 52 minutes.
I could not have done it without the support of my fiancée, my mum and my friends who came out!
You can just do *hard* things 😉
