That's a pretty good description of what they are already doing. The oligarchs who push it simultaneously describe that it's impossible to provide the necessary resources while doing everything they can to secure AI dominance. Their system will buckle under it's own weight on a resource standpoint alone. But much faster if people have alternatives and/or refuse to invest and give it legitimacy.
Not quite. But if you live by the gun, you should be prepared to die by it. I don't really know what your stake is since you didn't really clarify. Is your idea to use government to force them out of existence? Storm headquarters and kill them? Attack their systems in cyberspace? All I'm saying is I don't want to use or expand powers that I don't want used against me. What philosophical argument would I have against it if I did? I'm in favor of killing any and all force in markets for everyone. I'd be a hypocrite if I embraced it for my own ends and I'd probably have the same gun turned against me again anyway. I'm in favor of attacking problems at the root. I'm open to being educated if I'm missing something.
They've never forced me to use their products that I'm aware of. I wouldn't support any government subsidies if there are any (I have no idea). But either way, I'd just want to attack those issues rather than wield them as weapons for my own benefit.
I think it's fair to expect questions when you say that "we" (whoever that is) must destroy a company. At the very least to define "we" and by what means. If you didn't have a stake, why say it?
They don't have a profitable monetization strategy and likely never will. The only thing keeping them afloat is the (false) promise of ASI and the associated power that would entail. If you really want to destroy them, you have to cut off their supply lines (naive investors).
