HODL culture trained our brains to fear spending.
Layer on a lifetime of ad based conditioning and a hardwired need for reciprocity, and you get this weird outcome.
People will tip a barista $5 cuck bucks without thinking, but hesitate to zap more than 2–3 sats on Nostr.
The fix is behavioral. Set a weekly zap allowance, measured in fiat, $20. Spend it freely. Don’t track reciprocity. Believe that karma will work things out.
V4V only works when we stop keeping score.

I feel like HODL culture was a necessary first step to understanding bitcoin. HODL in fiat volatility, then as you spend enough time learning bitcoin you realize bitcoin is just a better money. So you use it how you would… pay for things you want and need, and save in it as opposed to saving in dollars.
But i agree. I like this sentiment. just fucking load up on sats and give it away. Spread it out!!!
I want to get NON KYC SATS. That is my goal for 2026
"HODL culture" is inevitable with a monetary system that has a hard cap in the number of monetary units. It's built into the incentives.
A maximum deflationary environment is NOT in the best interest of human flourishing.
Monthly zap limits (per app) with NWC are a super power!
Glad to hear you’ve changed your opinion

Cuckbucks are monopoly money. Sats are real money.
