As can I, I just wish they were more honest about it. I’m not saying there is anything wrong with trying to monetize your work, to the contrary, just don’t act like you’re doing it for us.

Yeah, interestingly, it's the people making the best product the ones who complain the least. Funny how that works. Nostr is uniquely positioned to monetize. "Zap the developer" if you enjoy the app is a far more direct method than anything else out there. I've done that many times for the clients that I've used. But ppl have to realize that it probably isn't going to provide a full-time salary for anyone, yet. I think as long as everyone's expectations are clear, it'll work out.
