TBH getting a little "black-pilled" on BTC for international commerce, at least until it becomes the global monetary standard... Sure, you can fundraise from a global audience, put content on Nostr and get Zaps, sell services internationally... But what happens when you've got to turn around and liquidate those proceeds to pay for food, rent, etc? Coinbase says "whoops those Zaps aren't KYC/AML/OFAC/whatever... No $'s for you!" So basically, sure you can accept Bitcoin for payment -- but only from people who are "whitelisted" by the global financial system, and therefore could just as easily pay you in Dollars.... ๐Ÿ˜‘

GM ... Particularly in Tech, "play" and "investment" have more overlap than one might think. The earliest adopters of BTC would probably have described what they were doing as "playing" with the tech, but it obviously became an investment (not only in value but in time, community trust, etc) over time.

This is exactly the opposite direction we need to go in... While the current tax reporting regime, i.e. the requirement to calculate capital gains tax on a cup of coffee is self-evidently insane, having to report *every single BTC purchase* is downright Orwellian. Mandibles first, then Bitcoin standard, I suppose... ๐Ÿซฃ View quoted note โ†’

There's a certain kind of person to whom there's no such thing as an "equal" partnership... You're either the dominant Alpha or the cucked Beta. Even your "allies" must fit into one or the other, and it obviously must be the latter category, and they must be reminded of it from time to time. This is why he seems to respect Xi and Putin so much, because one bully only truly respects another bully. View quoted note โ†’

I really like the idea of @Angor for crowdfunding, but I admit I'm also at a bit of a loss to understand how this might work in the real world... Let's say for a non-profit that wants to raise funding for a project... Angor would allow for literally anyone, including anonymous investors, to fund it. But then any actual organization would need to file taxes and presumably need to know the source of the income... How could this possibly work? Could any organization in the Western world actually be funded exclusively by anonymous Crypto donors?

Is an "nsite" or "nsyte" or whatever kind of redundant with a Tor hidden service? ๐Ÿค” #asknostr

Thanks @hodlbod Coracle looking pretty good -- one more thing, would it make sense to implement the "Bookmarks" used by many other clients? I notice that there's some kind of "collections" in the profile page, not really sure what this is, but not many other clients seem to support it.
