Woah, it was at 75 people 10 minutes ago! Pres, if this is fully decentralized, does it have the potential to gobble up all the centralized pools?
Some of my hashrate should be there by tomorrow. :)

“To make it worth everyone's effort to switch, OCEAN will be at 0% [fees] for the first 2 months of operation. After that we will need to introduce fees, but they will be kept reasonable and fair for all sizes of miners.”
I was among the first 25!
11,631 Blocks Found!? 🤔

Uhhhhh wtf is up with these numbers 🤣

Incredible. Simple.
Oh I see, they’re including blocks mined under the old company/name
Will sessions be recorded?
Love to see Nostr at the top

+ 20 people
+ 30 Ph/s
after 2 hours
I think I may have been in the 20s or 30s..? Maybe? There were only 2 pages of participants when I joined. Second was not full.
Feels good being early!
Wen FOSS?
So recycling address is not a concern anymore?
I'm about to add mine tomorrow, maybe later tonight.
Centralized pool seems like a contridiction in terms. Maybe centralized hash rate.
It’s up to 112 people at 116ph/s
I like the concept, but how do you avoid small uxto's? I have a couple of old, crappy miners I use for space heaters. How would I avoid getting a bunch of small, uneconomical payouts?
In the about page they mention they are working on LN payouts
Great idea. The direction is great. One downside compared to other pools is Seems like this could make taxes a real problem.
X3 from op and +6hrs. I would think this will shake up other pools structure significantly at some point.

It's a brilliant thing. Well done ocean and
@Luke Dashjr
I really wish it were “decentralized”, but it’s really not at all? It’s just faster payouts, sadly.
Maybe there’s some plans to make it decentralized, but I don’t see them listed anywhere on the page?
153
When would you consider this decentralized?
When there’s not a single centralized party that controls everything about block building and payouts.
I'm doing my part! 🫡

According to my calculations ocean currently has 130 ph/s compared to entire bitcoin hash power of 500000 ph/s (.026%). Which isnt much, but has 3x in the past 18h. Hope to see it continue climbing
Interesting. You gave me some food for thought.
If they keep going like this, they'll be getting hashrate from me as well.
