IMO I don't think she was fired for failing to meet the objectives, but rather to remove her from the upcoming scheduled court appearance to answer further Epstein questions.

That definitely could be it and very plausible too. I also heard chatter that she tipped of Eric Swallwell of an investigation into his relationship with a Chinese spy or something like that. Apparently she was buddies with him for a long time prior to becoming AG. I don't know if that's true or not, but that's also another angle worth looking into.
